4 Post-Swim Taverns

1. Rodia at Kala Nera

After a long day at the beach all you need is a beautiful fish tavern away from everything touristy. At Rodia you will be able to relax and enjoy a homemade-style meal prepared and served by the friendly owners. Try fresh fish and kalamari, french fries made from scratch, and, of course, the house wine. The tables are spread out under the shade of mulburry trees and the sea is only a few meters away.

2. Liostasi (near Milies)

In the evening, as you return from eastern Pelion, stop at Liostasi for your dinner. In the middle of an olive grove, you will end your day in the most delicious way. The cool mountain breeze and the chirping of the crickets will help you unwind after a hot day on the beach. The owners will welcome you with tsipouro and meze.

3. Peronio (in Agria)

This brand new seaside restaurant in Agria remains open all day but the best time to be there is around sunset after your swim. Don't miss the homemade kopanisti with the toasted bread and their amazing salads.

4. Avra (at the east entrance of the city of Volos)

Before you return to your hotel or apartment in Volos, enjoy the sea breeze for a bit longer at the oldest restaurant of the city (1883). Every evening, the entire Anavros beach becomes an open-air restaurant flooded by locals and tourists alike. The service is friendly and fast. Souvlaki, sardines, and beer poikilia are a must.
